Ways to use the What Should I Draw Wheel

      Daily sketch habit

One spin a day, one quick sketch. Over a month you will draw things you never would have chosen.

      Timed challenges

Spin, set a timer for 2, 5, or 10 minutes, and stop when it rings. Speed builds confidence.

      Art class and parties

Everyone draws the same prompt, then compares. Or pick several with no repeats so each person gets their own.

      • Combine lists: spin Scenes, then Animals, and put the animal in the scene.
      • Beginners: stay on Easy for a week, then move to Animals and Silly.
      • Add your own prompts. A list saved in this browser is still there next time.

      FAQ

      Frequently asked questions

What is a good thing to draw when I'm bored?

Something simple you can finish in ten minutes, like a teapot, a cactus, or a lighthouse. The Easy list is built for that. Finishing a small drawing beats starting a big one.

      Can I change the list?

Yes. Everything in the box is editable. Add, remove, or rename entries and the wheel redraws as you type. Your version is saved in this browser, and Copy share link sends it to someone else.

      Is the result really random?

Yes. The winner is picked with your browser's built-in secure random generator before the wheel starts turning, so every slice has exactly the same chance. The spin only shows the result.

Can I put this wheel on my website or in Google Slides?

On a website, yes. Press Embed this wheel and copy the iframe code. Paste it anywhere that accepts HTML or embed code, such as a blog post, a Google Sites page, or a course page in a learning platform like Canvas, Moodle, or Schoology (some schools turn embeds off, so check with your admin if it does not show). The embedded wheel keeps the entries you had when you copied the code, and visitors spin it right on your page.

Google Slides does not accept iframe code, so the wheel cannot run inside a slide there. Copy the link code or the share link instead, add it to a slide, and click it while you present. Slide and whiteboard tools that accept embed code or a web address, and PowerPoint with a web viewer add-in, can show the live wheel.
